Senior night is TONIGHT at Oakton.
It's that time of year. As the season winds down Maine Hockey will be holding their final home game on Friday January 28, 8:40 PM at Oakton Ice Arena. Each day we will acknowledge a Senior for their commitment to Maine Hockey.
Today we honor team captain Thomas Rutherford. Thomas started playing hockey at age 6 for the Niles Rangers and then later for the Express. Thomas has been fortunate to have been on many winning teams at different levels of play. With the exception of being able to play on teams with his older brother, Charlie, when he was younger, and a handful of games at Maine, his senior year at Maine has been the most enjoyable year of hockey for him. He has been a 4-year player at Maine and is honored to have been selected as the captain of this year’s varsity team. Thomas has been admitted to the business schools at The University of Nebraska, Mizzou, and The University of Dayton. He would love to continue to play hockey at the club level in college.
Thanks Thomas for your commitment to Maine Hockey. You will always be part of the Maine Hockey Family, and we wish you the best in all your future endeavors.
Come cheer Thomas on for his final home game tonight.
