Maine Hockey Managers Duties

The number one duty of the manager is to own these responsibilities.  You don’t have to personally complete all these tasks but you are responsible for their completion……so involve other parents and delegate!  

  1.  Communication: Weekly updates of games and practice as well as any communication the coach/hockey director/board asks to be delivered.  
  2. Games:  You will need to have a parent work security (yellow jackets), scoresheet (away games), clock (home games) and Gopro cameras at all games.   
  3. Scoresheets and stats:  You will need to prepare the score sheet for each home game and provide labels for every game. Scoresheets need to be submitted to the league via email for our home games, saved and stats tabulated for the entire season.
  4. Out of Town Tournament:  Coordinate hotel location and room reservations and work with tournament company for a smooth event.  
  5. Track any resources provided to players that need to be returned to the organization like spring/tryout jerseys.


You will need to register with USA Hockey, be background checked and to complete SafeSport through USA HOCKEY There is no cost associated with this.
